Transportation Program

The Joliet Township Transportation Department provides safe, reliable rides for partner agency clients. Transportation is available for medical appointments, pharmacies, and essential services within Joliet Township and limited surrounding areas. Through partnerships with local agencies, the program helps reduce transportation barriers and ensures residents can access critical care and community resources.

Rides for Partner Agency Clients

If you work with a caseworker at one of our partner agencies, we can give you rides to medical and social service appointments. Your caseworker will help you fill out the forms you need. Agencies that want to join the program need to meet with us first to agree on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

Service Hours: Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM

Cost: Cost of ride is billed to partner agency.

Partner your Agency

By building partnerships Joliet Township Government aims to reduce the incidence of clients falling through the cracks due to missed appointments or follow-ups caused by transportation barriers, thereby fostering a more inclusive community. As a partner agency, your organization can benefit from reliable, low-cost transportation services for clients. We provide an easy way for your staff to request transportation, with clear and consistent communication to ensure no client is left behind due to lack of transportation.

Any agency that serves our residents and is located within the Joliet Township Government borders may partner with us for the transportation needs of their clients.

The program will facilitate trips for the agency clients to various essential destinations including doctor appointments, pharmacies, medical centers, and community centers. Contact via email at Transportation@joliettownship.net to discuss possible partnerships.
