Violence Prevention
Behavioral Health

Violence has deeply harmed neighborhoods, communities, and the state of Illinois. This harm comes from not only the immediate loss of life, but the detrimental effects of trauma experienced by victims, witnesses, and others. The City of Joliet has been identified as one of 15 municipalities with the greatest concentration of firearm and other violence victims. Joliet Township Government has been awarded a Trauma-Informed Behavioral Health Services grant from the Illinois Department of Human Services to aid those suffering in our community. With trauma-informed and evidence-based practices, our passionate Licensed Social Workers will join forces with you on your journey to healing.
