DESCRIPTION:Joliet Township Government will host Will County Center for Community Concerns (WCCCC) as they administer the Home Energy Assistance Program that helps income-eligible households with their utility bills and furnace assistance. Assistance is available to households whose 30 day gross income is at or below 200% of the poverty level. Assistance for utilities will be available from October 1\, 2024 through August 15\, 2025\, or until funds have been exhausted\, whichever comes first. \nApplications will be taken at Joliet Township Government\, located at 175 W. The event will also feature a stunning motorcycle display by the Chicago Viclero Motorcycle Club\, as well as live demonstrations from Mallard Point Vet Clinic\, Ty Ty the Reptile Guy\, and Furiends of Manhattan Pet Pantry.  \nIn addition to the entertainment\, attendees can browse various vendors\, including Scentsy\, Intermode (pet-friendly plants)\, and Best in Show Pet Grooming\, which will be offering $5 nail trims. Food lovers can enjoy delicious eats from Hectic Tacos Taco Truck and sweet treats from Brook Bakes\, with 10% of proceeds donated to JTAC.  \nAs part of its commitment to pet safety and well-being\, JTAC is offering free microchips for the first 10 pets and $10 microchips all day. DESCRIPTION:Joliet Township Animal Control (JTAC) is making it easier for residents to welcome a new pet this spring. Throughout April\, adoption fees are reduced to $40 for dogs and $20 for cats to help more animals find loving homes. Medical fees still apply. \nAs part of its “Spring Into Adoption Saturdays” initiative\, JTAC is extending its hours on select Saturdays—April 5\, April 12\, April 26\, and May 3—from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to accommodate families who may not be able to visit during the week. \nPlease note\, office staff will not be available to assist with other services on these Saturdays\, including trap rentals\, redemptions\, and owner surrenders. For these services\, please contact JTAC during regular business hours Monday through Friday. \nJoliet Township Animal Control is normally open Monday\, Tuesday\, Thursday\, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM and Wednesdays from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM. DESCRIPTION:Joliet Township Government will host Will County Center for Community Concerns (WCCCC) as they administer the Home Energy Assistance Program that helps income-eligible households with their utility bills and furnace assistance. Assistance is available to households whose 30 day gross income is at or below 200% of the poverty level. Assistance for utilities will be available from October 1\, 2024 through August 15\, 2025\, or until funds have been exhausted\, whichever comes first. \nApplications will be taken at Joliet Township Government\, located at 175 W. DESCRIPTION:Joliet Township Government will host Will County Center for Community Concerns (WCCCC) as they administer the Home Energy Assistance Program that helps income-eligible households with their utility bills and furnace assistance. Assistance is available to households whose 30 day gross income is at or below 200% of the poverty level. Assistance for utilities will be available from October 1\, 2024 through August 15\, 2025\, or until funds have been exhausted\, whichever comes first. \nApplications will be taken at Joliet Township Government\, located at 175 W. Jefferson Street\, Joliet\, IL 60432 on the following dates from 9am to 3pm: \n\nWednesday\, December 18\, 2024\nWednesday\, January 15\, 2025\nWednesday\, February 19\, 2025\nWednesday\, March 19\, 2025\nWednesday\, April 16\, 2025\nor until the daily sign-in sheet is full (whichever comes first)\n\nTo submit an application\, you MUST bring ALL required documentation: \n\nSocial Security Card for everyone in the household\nID or Driver’s License\nIncome for all household members for the last 30 days from all sources\nAny Household member age 18 or older will need proof they are or are not receiving benefits from DHS (Public Aid) or IDES (Unemployment) if there is no proof of income provided\nGas and Electric bill issued within the last 30 days\nAll printouts from other agencies\, like Notice of decision packet from DHS\, Social Security\, TANF\, General Assistance\, Veterans Assistance\nMortgage statement and tax bill or Deed and tax bill\, if applying for Furnace assistance.
