SUMMARY:LIHEAP – Home Energy Assistance Program – April 16\, 2025
DESCRIPTION:Joliet Township Government will host Will County Center for Community Concerns (WCCCC) as they administer the Home Energy Assistance Program that helps income-eligible households with their utility bills and furnace assistance. Assistance is available to households whose 30 day gross income is at or below 200% of the poverty level. Assistance for utilities will be available from October 1\, 2024 through August 15\, 2025\, or until funds have been exhausted\, whichever comes first. \nApplications will be taken at Joliet Township Government\, located at 175 W. Jefferson Street\, Joliet\, IL 60432 on the following dates from 9am to 3pm: \n\nWednesday\, December 18\, 2024\nWednesday\, January 15\, 2025\nWednesday\, February 19\, 2025\nWednesday\, March 19\, 2025\nWednesday\, April 16\, 2025\nor until the daily sign-in sheet is full (whichever comes first)\n\nTo submit an application\, you MUST bring ALL required documentation: \n\nSocial Security Card for everyone in the household\nID or Driver’s License\nIncome for all household members for the last 30 days from all sources\nAny Household member age 18 or older will need proof they are or are not receiving benefits from DHS (Public Aid) or IDES (Unemployment) if there is no proof of income provided\nGas and Electric bill issued within the last 30 days\nAll printouts from other agencies\, like Notice of decision packet from DHS\, Social Security\, TANF\, General Assistance\, Veterans Assistance\nMortgage statement and tax bill or Deed and tax bill\, if applying for Furnace assistance.
