As Township Supervisor, Daniel L. Vera is the Chief Executive Officer of the Township.  He has several duties to carry out as mandated by order of the Illinois General Assembly.

The Supervisor:

• Administer’s the General Assistance program;
• Serves as Chairman of the Township Board of Trustees;
• Is Treasurer of all Township funds;
• Is Ex-Officio Treasurer of the Township's Road & Bridge funds -- making sure that Joliet Township's public tax dollars are properly invested and spent according to state law.

Vera was appointed Supervisor in December 2004 upon the retirement of Stanley B. Waznis, and was elected in April 2005 to serve a full 4-year term.  He previously served as the Township Tax Collector and as a member of the Joliet Township Senior Citizen Advisory Committee.
